Ceramic Slab Basics – Shelf Class Part A

In this introduction to ceramics, students will learn beginner techniques for working with clay. Rolling clay into a slab is a great way for beginning potters to create beautiful pieces and to learn the fundamentals of manipulating clay, joining clay pieces, and safely glazing and firing. Students will make an accent wall shelf, or an “altar” shelf, using these basic techniques, then add their own personal touches to make it unique. These shelves are sweet pieces of décor to hang on your wall that will hold votives, plants, or any special item you hold dear.

Students must be able to attend both parts of this class – Tuesday, February 6^th from 6:30 to 9:30pm and Tuesday February 20^th from 6:30-9 pm. Finished pieces will be fired and ready for pickup on February 26th. One ticket provides access to both parts of this class and all supplies needed.
