Fiber Laser Basics

Learn how to use the FIBER LASER – a Thunderlaser Aurora 8 MOPA. Students will explore the basics of fiber laser engraving, including how the laser interacts with different materials and how to adjust key settings like power, speed, and frequency. The class will include an overview of LightBurn software for file preparation and machine setup before diving into a live engraving project. Safety, maintenance, and troubleshooting tips will also be covered. By the end of this class, students will have an engraved test piece and a solid foundation to explore more advanced projects.
