LED Snowflake

Ever wondered how modern LED displays create all those shifting colors and mesmerizing patterns? This class is an introduction to the world of addressable LEDs—tiny, individually controlled lights that can bring all kinds of creative projects to life.

In this 2.5-hour workshop, students will build a 24-inch illuminated snowflake featuring 100 addressable LEDs, fully controllable from an app on any mobile device. Once assembled, the snowflake will glow, pulse, and animate in brilliant color, making it a standout addition to any indoor or outdoor holiday décor.

No prior experience is needed.  All materials are provided and students will be led step-by-step through assembly, wiring, and connecting to the companion lighting app.  You’ll leave with a finished, ready-to-display LED snowflake and the confidence to explore more addressable LED projects in the future.
