Forge The Future is a program for adults who want to pursue a career in the construction industry. Plumbers, framers, electricians, welders, heavy equipment operators and others are in high demand, but employers need new recruits to be skilled in specific areas. Working with the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and local building trades leaders, Triumph Workshop has designed Forge The Future so that it equips motivated individuals with the key skills needed to enter their chosen field and be successful. With 53% of seasoned construction workers retiring in the next 15 years*, the need for a skilled workforce will continue to increase for the foreseeable future.
Forge The Future consists of 160 hours of coursework, which includes everything from lecture time and hands-on learning to guest speakers and field trips. Income replacement grants are available to those who qualify, so that participants can earn while they learn. Those who complete the program will earn nationally recognized credentials, including an OSHA 10 card and a NCCER Core Certification, plus connections to local business leaders to help facilitate job opportunities.
Triumph Workshop has relationships with industry leaders and Forge The Future has been designed to train participants in exactly the skills employers are looking for in their preferred new-hires. Participants in Forge The Future must be at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the USA, and motivated to complete the entire four week program.
Triumph Workshop is a Community Development Project of Triumph Financial and TBK Bank, SSB with a mission to serve the city of Dallas through building trade education, a community makerspace, youth camps, and nonprofit relationships. Triumph Workshop’s Forge The Future program is a big part of Triumph Financial’s commitment to serving others, and all involved are looking forward to how the community will be impacted through it for years to come.
