The metalshop has a Cyrious Metal Works 4×8 CNC plasma table with a Hypertherm Powermax85 cutter. The machine works great for cutting steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. It should never be used to cut galvanized steel.

Yes. You must complete CNC Plasma Basics before operating the table. The class walks through the Inkscape, SheetCam, and CommandCNC workflow plus safe setup and fume control.
A membership is required to run the table on your own. The CNC Plasma Basics class is open to the public, and members get 20% off all classes. You supply your own metal stock.
