Automotive Training in Dallas
A $200 training program in Dallas, Texas that prepares adults for entry-level automotive technician roles — inspections, tire and wheel fundamentals, and general maintenance — with hands-on practice in the auto shop and employer connections.
The $200 program fee can be paid over time, and income replacement grants are available to those who qualify so participants can earn while they learn. The track combines classroom instruction with hands-on work in the auto shop so participants can walk into a first job with real experience behind them.
What you learn
The automotive track starts with shop safety, then builds through inspections, lubrication systems, and general maintenance — so every participant is shop-ready before they work on a live vehicle.

Shop safety and readiness
Personal protective equipment, safe tool handling, and shop-floor protocols before any work happens on a vehicle.

Hands-on inspections
Multipoint vehicle inspections in the auto shop — what to check, how to check it, and how to write up what you find.

Lubrication systems
Oil and filter services and basic fluid changes — the bread-and-butter work of every entry-level technician.

Tire and wheel fundamentals
Properly install and balance tires, and learn tire and wheel wear fundamentals.

Torque specifications
Why torque specs matter, how to work to them, and doing the job to spec every time.

Forklift certification
All Forge The Future participants are taught to safely operate a forklift, with the opportunity to gain a Class 1-7 Forklift Certification.
Who the automotive track is for
High-school graduates. With a mechanical bent who want a hands-on career instead of a four-year degree.
Career changers. Who have always tinkered on their own cars and want to make it their job.
Veterans. With motor-pool or diesel experience who want to credential that experience for the civilian market.
Service-industry workers. Looking for a trade with clearer wage progression than food service or retail.
Participants must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver's license, and be authorized to work in the USA. Physical requirements, background-check policies, and attendance expectations are provided during the application process.
