Our Spaces
Artisan Areas
Artisans use several different areas of the makerspace for all kinds of work. Members cut, design, fuse, and slump glass into unique pieces; sew on three different sewing machines; and use the vinyl and dye-sublimation printers and heat presses to customize everything from tote bags and coffee mugs to shirts, hats, and textiles. There is also a jewelry area, places for leather working, and a Wazer waterjet for precise cutting. Members have 24-hour access using their unique building access code.
Glass, Fiber, and Fine Craft
Some members enjoy working with glass — cutting, designing, fusing, and slumping material into beautiful and unique pieces. Others sew, using all the capabilities of our three different sewing machines, or run the vinyl and dye-sublimation printers and heat presses to customize tote bags, coffee mugs, shirts, hats, and an assortment of textiles.
The makerspace also has a jewelry area and places for leather working, where tools of all kinds can be found, plus a Wazer waterjet that cuts glass, metal, and plastic without heat distortion.
